Our History
How We Started Our Journey

In 2021, Cityzen Agbelega Abdulsalam laid the foundation for our community with a mission to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals and secondary school leavers. Our journey began by visiting schools in our local community, conducting outreach programs to raise awareness about the transformative power of technology. Through these engagements, we aimed to inspire and educate students about the importance of acquiring tech skills and how it can shape their future.
Driven by the desire to create a more immersive experience, we organized our maiden edition of the Tech Geek Hangout in 2022. This event served as a gathering of tech enthusiasts, where participants could explore the latest trends, share knowledge, and engage in stimulating discussions.
Continuing our commitment to empowering young minds, we took a step further by organizing a Skillup training program for students and youths in Epe Local Government. This training aimed to equip participants with practical skills in various tech domains, including photography, web development, graphics design, and UI/UX design. By providing hands-on training and mentorship, we sought to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
As we progressed, our community thrived on the collective efforts of dedicated volunteers, passionate educators, and industry professionals who shared our vision. Through their tireless contributions, we expanded our outreach and made a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, we built a strong foundation for lifelong learning and growth.
Looking ahead, we are committed to further expanding our reach and impact, striving to reach more schools and communities. We aim to continue organizing engaging events, workshops, and training programs that empower young individuals to embrace technology and its immense possibilities. Our community remains dedicated to nurturing the next generation of tech-savvy leaders, fostering innovation, and driving positive change in our society.
